Our concept that nature is an open book, has been understood from the day our ancestors came into existence and interacted with mighty nature. We are solely dependent on nature for our every activity from water to food and from death to life. This has given us the courage to survive, exist and protect. I think that our survival and existence are mainly food and fight-based, but protection is fear-based, depending on experience.
Nature has given us several means of natural protection. One such means is armour which gives the confidence to fight and be safe. Natural things have protective armours in different forms of covers, colours and shapes changing etc. of the outer skin or venomous liquid emitting capability and many more. But the highly developed and equipped with intelligent brains, humans need both God-gifted natural as well as self-made artificial armours. The natural armours are probably the same for all but the additional artificial armours are many and differ from individual to community to nation with the sole purpose of protective measures for safety, security and existence. This artificial aspect of armours is subjected to experimental and innovative changes for mainly holding supremacy over others. In this field of artificial development, humans are missing humanity and are confined to selfish attitudes. They have developed varieties of armours in various fields of life as per needs. Even humans are fighting with the provider, nature, for resources, for artificial armour.
Humans know about analysing problems and finding out solutions but never imagine the long-term effects or repercussions. Because of these artificial attitudes we have lost many species, rivers have dried and many civilisations that flourished near rivers are no more in existence.
Humans have checked flowing rivers for water storage in huge dams for various purposes as armour but these are proving to be water bombs in long run. Our developments have given passage to the Sun’s ultraviolet rays to harm the world. The air hasn’t been left unaffected because of pollution caused by harmful gases and dust. The earth and ocean, providers of all natural resources have been turned into dumping grounds of pollutants and are taking their last breath. Humans have not stopped here but have surrendered to their greed, lusts, unjust needs and desires of being masters of all creatures. They are peeping into the universe to prove their supremacy. They have dug their graves and have prepared cremation grounds themselves because of unwise activities.
The ultimate sufferers are humanity and nature. Humans have given emphasis to ” protection is better than cure “, in place of ” precaution is better than cure “. The cure is becoming worse due to lack of care. The care of both humanity and nature is at stake. We should not forget that ” never is not better than late ” and late should be deferred forever by being rational about minute things in mindful use.
Humanity has developed two types of cultures for protection – firstly, human rights culture and secondly, under-the-carpet culture suiting the wits. The thoughts of liberty and independence are playing nerves in such cultures. Humans have reached too far ahead to retreat from impossible artificial levels. Such protections’ unexpected outcomes are giving a number of movements. But the difference between rich and poor is a hindrance. Rich is dominating in dictating the terms. It is reflected in the policies of rich countries to give, make slaves and engulf territory as cannibal sharks. They forget to take the lesson that fire has no discrimination and will reach their area also.
Self-centred protectionism has devastated nature too. But nature which has made a congenial environment for humans’ evolution has the capacity to show the doors to extinction. The change is in the hand of nature which is occasionally giving indications in her style, silently and covertly. However, nature has cycles of an offer to exchange at par with good steps taken by humans for betterment. We have to grab the opportunities. The more one sucks, the more is chance of bleeding, causing harm to self. The balance between giving and taking is essential. The silence has enormous energy to ignite, to take precautions, to protect, care, cure and overhaul entire systems to restore originality.
Most of us are not enjoying the God-gifted life and are always in competitive mode. In a nutshell, we have lost ourselves for nothing, knowing all facts of life. Nature has shown the reality in this century’s pandemic due to which all means of protection have proved to be futile and the whole of humanity has been failing to the condition but the fight for supremacy is continuing at the same pace as before. Artificial armour is considered to be more reliable than natural ones. May almighty save humans and humanity. Artificial armour is doing more harm than good.
We are to Criticise
I think that We are empowered. We are mainly naturally, socially and politically empowered. Natural empowerment is not in our control. It appear at defined time and occasions to perform the empowered duties. We may not avoid or change it. Whenever, we try to be against it, we pay its price and suffer, sometimes beyond our control.
Besides, the humans made social empowerment is result of age old traditions, beliefs and thinkings. It has seen many changes with passage of time and is always subjected to further improvements or amendments as per the needs. It is progressive and may not be imposed on everyone as we are having brain to apply to understand the good or bad for all within limits. Any deviation from this type of empowerment disturbs the social set up and harmony.
In general empowerment gives strength and teaches us discipline to lead our lives. We have liberty to exercise it in favour or have other options to use.
When we think empowering others to control us, we are supposed to take every step with due diligence and precaution. Otherwise, we have to face the music. We have to mentally prepare ourselves, in this regard before taking final decision.
When we are to start education in childhood, our guardians or parents choose the schools for our bright future. When we want to choose our profession to be independent and serve, we consider many things in selection of a suitable career for comfortable and rewarding lifestyles. We take all precautionary measures in our lives for health, food, marriage, settlement and social lives etc. from time to time.
We always try to do the best from available resources. We give priorities to our personal interests and act accordingly, to use the empowered duties. But, we become casual in exercising the political empowerment. This type of empowerment has been given in any country after many historical events and sacrifices, atleast, in a country which has the history of independent movements against foreign rulers to get rid off slavery. We are politically empowered to decide the future, developments and improvements in the country for the betterment of natives. We are to write our destiny through elections, handing over the decision making and implementing powers to elected members.
A country, as a unit of the world, has to deal both with other countries to carve out a niche and with internal problems for the stability, an essential requirement for growth and developments. All these depend upon us, as responsibilities, because of the political empowerment. But it is found that we miss the bus every time and criticise the governing political party later.
We, on analysis, find that we are on fault. We, in our service or other working places, for recruitment to any post, prescribe many eligibility criteria ranging from education, job experience, character, marks obtained and mental conditions etc. Besides, an aspirant has to go through many stages of examinations, physical tests and interviews. We take utmost care in selection but during election, we forget all such criteria and requirements in a candidate who is supposed to run a state or the country. We seldom try to know about the candidate’s past history for suitability. We only consider by the standards of religion or caste or region or political parties or some thing else. We keep our nationhood a side. We think a party will act for only one particular section of society and others may wait for their turn in future. We become prey to the allurements and bounties of free water, free electricity, free food and free housing facilities. But we never consider the cost at which we are getting all these. We, personally, may not distribute in gratis in our limited incomes. But the political parties dare to give, restricting alround developments.
These political parties have serious concern for having insufficient means with them , for digital propaganda during spread of pandemic, but have never taken care of students residing in villages, for not having Internet and mobiles to study during online teaching to avoid loss of education. Parties have funds but for themselves. Even then they are vying with each other to distribute free things but at our cost. Both, the leaders of different parties and we, voters are responsible for this.
We are always ready to criticise the government but do not want to join politics. Whenever, election comes, we forget the past and our criticism. We start harping on the same string, as usual. We, learned people, talk on government’s responsibilities only, forgetting our onus at the time of election. Ultimately, our rulers are enjoying because of our habits. We, again, become busy in discussions and criticising government on every topics, till the next election comes, as food for our old habits to revive in the form of caste, religion and region etc.
This political empowerment has effects on social empowerment, affecting natural harmony and divide the society. Finally these both are affecting natural empowerment and we create a new category of criticising empowerment on hitting self goals. It is irony that we want to catch the time but at our own costs. We are not ready to learn or take lessons from our mistakes.
If we elaborate our actions, the same may be seen in international geopolitics – deeply rooted divisions on various levels and lines for many unreasonable reasons.
Decision
One stitch in time saves nine. It is always advisable to get repaired the leaking roof before onset of monsoon. We may meet odd challenges due to anticipation and timely taken decisions.
Every part of a body works smoothly, coordinating each other and any disbalance is indicated in the form of problems so that timely curable measures may be taken by the owner of body. Otherwise, ignoring that, disease may silently develop and may not be cured. This is applicable everyday, everywhere, where coordinated approaches are necessities, be it a family or industry or office.
In the industrialised world mechanisation and artificial intelligence along with robots are easing execution of works in a concerted coordination. But the final decisions are to be taken by humans. However, brain may not be replaced by any invention or discovery. We may not be slave in such world, lest another political systems should develop. Perhaps racism, caste systems and religious rivalries may stall in that world with different views. Even then, brain is supreme and may not be replaced.
Humans have reached at this level of integrity after many trial and error, so final decision will always be their responsibilities, despite use of other accessories as assistance to brain’s decisions.
The scenario in the world is changing every moment. We are now more inter dependent for growth and developments. In this regard, rules and regulations are dynamic and need consideration and continuous analysis in the interest of respective country. Everyone knows weakness and strength of each other. So, now a days, rapid and accurate decisions are required in every system of a nation. Even the tiny unit has to be taken care of during decisions. Every nut and bolt play role in a vehicle. Any negligence may not be appreciable. Planning and foresightedness are required continuously.
Decision making is complicated process on large scale and needs amalgamation of various subjects. It may be influenced by affinity and by biasness specially where large number of humans are involved. Self interest should not be entertained. Biasness may cost in loosing the best brains. Many conspiracies and secrets are being unveiled where biasness, self interest or family members are involved in influencing decisions, harmful to the nation. Utmost care with open eyes and ears are required.
We may be successful in every field. Nations may flourish at the cost of others. But humanity should not be endangered. Certain problems should be fought together, hand in hand. Natural problems, for instance, are affecting the globe and need attention. If nations do not timely activate themselves then be ready to pay the price, destined by the almighty. Take care or play your duffle. Let the humanity perish or save. Decisions are required.
Any nation may be strong and powerful on certain yardstick but may never challenge nature. One may deal alone, natural problem of small extent only. Present continuing pandemic, in different waves, is the example of our limitations and helplessness. Nature has no boundaries and does not distinguish among races or religions. United we stand, divided we fall.
Decisions should be for humanity, peace and all with self identity. Every nation should be careful, as every nation is sailing in the same boat as far as nature is concerned.
