I am woman

I am purpose –
Though I think of myself I have opportunities for others. I am simple for mountains. I am complicated with rivers. I am tough for negotiations. I am zeal. I am zest. I am margin. I am the path. I am a pathmaker. I am a pathfinder. I am a problem. I am the solution. I am predictable. I am unpredictable. I am open. I am closed. I am certain.

I have a historical image –
My smile is mesmerizing. My touch is firing. My eyes are enticed. I am lively from tip to toe. I am a magnetic attraction. I am living the art of life. I am a bundle of happiness. I am a beautiful realization. I never accept. I return wholeheartedly. I am weak. I am soft. I am strong. I am hard. But others decide my fate. When I write my destiny others become objectors. I am a tradition. I am rituals. I have morals. I am beginning. I am an end. I am a drop. I am deeper than the ocean. I am a transformer. I am devoted. I am beyond the boundaries of interpretations.

I am progress –
I am motion. I have momentum. When I am connected with others, I become accommodative. I become supportive. I become an acceptor. I become a rejector. I have weaknesses. I have strength.

I construct and destruct at the same time- I am the source of the unknown. I am expanding from invisible to visible. I am not a commodity. I am not for interaction and interests only. I have values also. I bring the light from the darkness. I sacrifice. I surrender to nature. I am nature too. I give others the right to explore me. I restrict movements. I bind thoughts. I am medium. I am a meditation. I am the ship. I am like worship. I am salvation. I am a challenge and a surprise by heaven. I am deeper than what you know.

I am continuity –
I am journey. I am memory. I am history. I am earth. I am a link between two ends. I am a woman. I am always an individual. I am never an individual. I am a secret. I have wings. My majesty should be given the honour.

My tolerance limit is continuously tested.
You try to know me before you understand me. I lead to reach joys where all questions subside and you obtain positivity to mould your ability towards salvation if you can.

Checking

As we grow, the tendency of checking develops, and as such that it becomes a habit in long run. It starts from a safety point of view and finally becomes unchecked, in nature. In childhood, everything remains good until a child gains strength and starts using two legs to take the first step to tread the world. The child becomes like a vehicle without brakes. The first step is always encouraged and admired by all. But the moment a child starts using the brain to think and expresses curiosity to learn and touch because everything is new, unknown and amazing, the checking starts. For a child, rope and snake are the same. A child gets attention and parents become over-conscious about the security of the child and the loss of valuable materials. It is ensured that all things should be beyond the reach of a child. Though the intention is very clear that the child may touch, engulf, get hurt and damage things, attention gets top priority. But this habit of continuous checking has psychological effects on a child in the overall development and gives mostly negative results. The situation becomes worse when a caretaker is posted for this purpose for a child because the effects of checking may be multiplied as the appointee may become extra conscious of the secured self’s service. Ultimately, because of this, the interest of the child is not properly developed. We should enjoy childhood by reasonably checking, what we don’t remember due to forgetting. They should be treated friendly to prepare for the changing world.

Children are always children. They need directions and channelling of vibrant energy along with checking for their benefits. Let them be children till they start learning worldly vices.

Such encounter with checking in the name of prohibitions from the beginning of life in day-to-day work becomes a habit when we grow. We face in life more checkings than permissions in the name of society, moralities, discipline, religions, status and culture etc.

The method of checkings may be different at different places but the aim is the same everywhere- safety, security discipline and good governance etc. – to live and let live. In checking, the law of the land is supreme and for that different departments with defined responsibilities in government offices, legal courts and vigilant agencies are established.

Apart from these, there is moral policing of social contractors, checking social life and morality, according to age-old traditions. They go to any extent in the name of cleaning society. One step ahead, religious preachers and teachers impose their checking norms on the respective communities to strictly stick to laid down rules without fail. They have their concepts developed and concluded from the prevailing thoughts of religion to hold supremacy in society. They may define every single word of religious books to check and inculcate the community. They may go to any extent in this regard, in the name of competition with each other to influence and make new followers to satiate their thirst to impose restrictions on all, in the name of heaven and God.

Sometimes, these moral policing and religious thinking are playing roles of checking above the law of land and are used by political parties to grab the seats to form a government. They add fuel to the fire. This type of stringent checking is a serious threat to unforeseen consequences in future, where self will be above nation and law.

We may not reach on conclusion in the name of liberty that checking should not be there at any stage. But we should understand that we are not wild animals and the law of the jungle ( forest ) may not be allowed in civil society. Otherwise, life will be hell and we will be worse than animals with developed brains. Civic sense should prevail.

Checking is the essential devil for certain essential requirements for all without distinction, based on age, caste, creed, community and religion. Hardliners must be checked at every stage and place for the sake of humanity, social justice, peace, growth and security of the nation.

Checking pervert thinking and teaching must draw attention before they pollute the whole system. We should check before declaring OK for all concerned.

CHILD IN SEPARATION- A Story

Am I a broken soul? Do I have an entity? Why do you not break the news related to me, as breaking news, showing for many hours on your TV channels?

Such were dialogues in a stage drama in which a boy was pleading before the judge on the fates of children facing the separation of parents because of the so-called heinous divorce. It was that part of the drama in which the boy was to choose one between his father and mother to live with after their separation.

The boy was fully prepared to open his plights of life. These were social and psychological problems. The boy told with full emphasis, ” he is a living gender in the world of so-called civilized society. He should not be treated as a commodity meant for sale to one person only. He has a soul that is on the earth because of two souls who have decided to increase their family – my parents. I am not ready to miss any of them naturally or unnaturally. My mother is like earth to me, and my father is like a mentor to show me the world. I want both of them for my growth, development and sustainability.

I am a witness to the heydays of my parents’ lives. I may not accept them separately because I am not a culprit, if their attitudes change toward each other later in life, I should not bear the brunt. As a child, I have my dreams to be in life. My future is related to both of them. I need their guidance, support, and togetherness for every moment.

My parents are the judges who have decided to bring me to life. Now, I should be given the right to decide their separation which I never accept because of their changing attitudes. I do not want to be like a helpless and hopeless boy who does wait for a predetermined particular day and time to meet one of the parents having a tag of divorcees. I do not want the part-time love of my parents. I do not want to be seen in society with pity. I know a few friends facing such situations. They are having many problems, especially psychological ones dealing with day-to-day work. Even classmates and friends change their views towards a child like me while talking. I do not want to be distinguished like that. If the father or mother remarriages, the condition of the stepchild becomes more pathetic. The condition of a girl child, who is supposed to have lion’s share to carry forward all the stigma of family, religion, traditions and society, is worse in this situation.

In my view, no parents should be allowed, in any condition, to be separated if they bear a child. Their relationship should not affect the future of a child. I know nowadays, due to social changes and so many opportunities present, parenting is also changing but the ultimate sufferers are children. These are taking a toll on children. Such persons who want to marry and also want to be parents in the future are supposed to be mature enough to know their responsibilities in life. A child who witnesses their affection and well-thought approach should not be a victim in the future, in their lives, if any kind of problem arises. I am not a child of an animal. I need to fight differently for existence in the changing world and I have to learn from and live with my parents.

Our society does not have any system to tackle such children. A child like me is also the future of a nation. I want to be a doctor. Who will bear my expenses for the same? A projected cost of studies, in case of no solution and ultimate separation, should be deposited or otherwise in the direction of a respectable Court, with direction to the automatic, timely release of funds to the concerned child like me. A third party under the full supervision of the court should be given the onus to look after such children. I do not want to go to any orphanage or shelter homes where situations may not be congenial, as I have read about many unhappy incidents in such dwellings in news. I am supposed to be the best but I do not want to be the definite worst.

I should not be prey to the unnoticed reasons that culminate later in the married life of my parents. This is not the judgement that is on my price. This is a kind of death warrant for my life in the world that judges everyone on its standard. No child is ready for this. I may not talk to God but I may tell my mind here in this world. I am not the only sufferer; society is to suffer also and bear the consequences of this human-made crime. Psychological and social studies, on children like me, are of no use if not giving lessons or redressal to stop such venomous acts.

Finally, I think that this story may be repeated in a second marriage. Then again, a child may face the same situation.

At last, I want to live with both of them so my parents should be punished to live together forever in life or till I become able and become independent. I am positive in the hope that I will be the reason for the revival of their togetherness.”

The message in the drama was very clear to settle the differences in married life in view of the future of children.

Hasty decisions should be avoided and separation should be last to come to mind with the closure of all options to be under one roof. Moreover, decisions at every step in life, mainly after marriage, should be well thought out, discussed and analyzed to avoid future problems, especially those related to children. The future of a child should be ensured until he or she becomes independent.

Thieves

Legal definition of thief may be meaningful. Thieves may be categorized in places. Social norms for the categorization of thieves, in practice, may be different everywhere. Some may justify the situation-based actions of thieves. Some may identify thieves on preoccupied speculations and practices. But the legal definition of thief finally prevails.

When I see around us and think about theft,
my views summarise as – I am one of the thieves. It is true everywhere. The action of stealing may be classified as direct or indirect. The direct ones identify the person and penalise. Sometimes direct action may be because of helplessness or need-based. Occasionally inactive operational systems may be involved in such cases as instigation. Even then it is punishable. We may write or deliver at length on this type of theft. Words may be stronger, mightier, influential and encouraging but there should be remedies also. No one is born a thief.

When I say I am also a thief I agree to indirect actions. I have not utilised time and opportunities completely or wholeheartedly. If I analyse from childhood I find that I do not have rosy pictures in my memory. I have seen hoarding attitudes in humans, disproportionate to their honest, just, professional and official incomes. Most of them, though socially recognised for their lavish lifestyles, has never been noticed by the inspecting authorities or monitoring agencies. We may assume that everyone is sailing in the same boat. All such thieves are cousins. Who will bell the cat? Everyone knows the secrets of each other and loves power and not responsibilities.

Such indirect actions of theft are like varieties of worms harming wherever possible. They want to get more than their positions’ entitlements and pursue wrong practices because of greed. They are not honest to the chairs which they adore and spread corruption. These are affecting the growth of the nation, tax evasion and escalating the cost of various projects due to delays in their implementation and timely completion. The public money collected by direct and indirect taxation gets wasted. Ultimately everyone suffers. Due to corruption, the qualities of completed projects and products are not up to the prescribed standards. Most of the roads, dams, buildings and bridges etc. are damaged or collapsed untimely. All types of enquiries carried for fixing the reasons are as an eye wash to divert the rage of public and to protect all responsible fellows. In my view, responsibility is not fixed to the system only but all general public are also responsible. Where ever possible, they also enjoy contributing through their share by not matching with assigned duties. Most of them remain busy commenting on others’ work ignoring their duties.

The country remains busy most of the time in making arrangements for basic needs because of these corruptions. These activities stay upliftment of public and instigate direct stealing in general. Political parties after ascending to the thrones dictate their terms and conditions for development. Most of the time the initiated projects of development and other schemes by rival political parties, occupying the thrones earlier, appear to be futile and detrimental to the society and nation. Such projects are derailed for want of funds or modified to suit the policies of the current government. The ultimate sufferer is the public and public money. It is an unending problem.

We have provisions for legal punishment to direct thieves but we have reservations for other types of active personalities because they are the lawmakers and they have also the right to make decisions. They may twist words of law as magicians.

Ultimately, our requirements are cheated and we are deceived. We move two steps ahead and recede one step behind. Thus we are progressing in leaps and bounds. We should express thankfulness to them who are honestly doing their jobs within their limited resources. They are heroes of our time.

We are the intelligent fools that we know many things but we know nothing. We should know that not a single empire having rich history is surviving because of its reasons. It means nothing is permanent. We know neither a king nor a rich person has carried a penny with him on death even then we are mad for money. We know that we may not give assurance to generations to come for wealth or a good living even then we respect money as everything, forgetting relationships, duties and responsibilities. Money can buy many things but not honesty, God and peace. We should not be direct or indirect thieves. We should do good for the development and upliftment of society and nations. Everyone will be happy and comfortable.

All future generations will be grateful to their ancestors for their foresightedness and rituals for the meaning of life. We should encourage noble and imitative practices for the amelioration of social justice. We should be satisfied with minimum requirements to share fare deals with other creatures of nature.
